I think we all know exhaustion first hand… That feeling of being so tired your body is melded to whatever object you are currently sitting or laying on. The exhaustion you feel through every grain of your being, your eyelids heavy, your limbs heavy burdensome appendages.

But sometimes isn’t that exhaustion something savored, relished, even hoped for?

The past few days have been physically demanding, but all enjoyed thoroughly. Today especially, after only four hours of sleep, and a full day since, was one of those days.

I was able to spend my morning with my beloved Campfire kiddos. Afterwards I met up with a dear friend and her family for some much needed rest and relaxation. The hours together passed too quickly, and I didnt notice how tired I was until fumbling for my ID when coming on post.

It’s one of those I’m-physically-exhausted-but-I’d-have-it-no-other-way moments. One of those days I find myself continually in praying, just thankful for my life, for my family, for my amazing friends, and this wonderful community.

Tomorrow is another day. For sure my rest will be peaceful and full and energizing. It’s just been one of those days.
